{{Crock Pot Meal}} | 3(okay...5) ingredient BBQ Chicken

{{Crock Pot Meal}} | 3 ingredient BBQ Chicken

It's no surprise that I like to cook, or experiment with meals...we can blame that on me being a Culinary Arts Major(and Cajun lol). Anyway, I made this 3 ingredient BBQ chicken for supper and everyone LOVED it. I thought I would share it with everyone.

What you need:
Chicken(I used 8-10 skinless, boneless chicken tenders)
1 bottle of Sweet Baby Rays(I used the sweet vidalia onion)
2 Cups of rootbeer(I used A&W.)(I used 2 cups since I had so many pieces of chicken, you may need less depending on how many pieces of chicken and the size)

This is an amazing weeknight meal that you can throw in the slow cooker. You could also do this with pork and make pulled pork sandwiches(we'll try those next time).

What you do:
  1. Put chicken breasts & rootbeer into the crockpot & cook for 3 hours on HIGH.
  2. Shred & drain(leave a little liquid)
  3. Add 1/4 tsp each of Salt & Pepper(I know..NOT listed in the irgredients..oh well)
  4. Pour in BBQ sauce & mix. Let cook for about 15-20 mins more.
  5. Serve on rolls/buns.
I served these on buns & paired this w/ green beans & mashed potatoes. This is one meal that will become a weekly thing in our house. :-)

Did you try this recipe? Did you like it? how did you serve it? did you add any sides to the meal? Leave a comment letting me know how it turned out!
