Pokemon Go | The Emotional & Physical Benefits I've Experienced While Using The App!

I know I'm a little late on posting about this as I'm sure everyone has heard of the newest craze that has been sweeping across the country.  Most people don't know this about me, but I have extreme general & social anxiety. I'm fine around friends and family, mostly.

Before Pokemon Go, we could go out to a mall or to a store to shop and I would get dizzy, and feel the need to flee wherever it is we were at. Since playing Pokemon Go, I've been able to get out more, and actually enjoy it. I'm not saying that I don't have anxiety attack....I'm saying that they aren't *as bad*, but there are times when I cannot leave my house.

Also, since playing Pokemon Go...I've lost over 30 lbs! When we first started playing, we would go to parks and just walk. We would take the camelbak(water bottle) and just walk for hours. We've traveled to places that we would not have gone to if not for this app.

Another perk of playing Pokemon Go is that we've met new people that we wouldn't have otherwise met. One night we were out and about in one of our old stomping grounds & my husband & I(both on the same team) were sitting in our car battling a gym. We took the gym over and almost immediately the guys we were battling took it back. My husband got out of the car and went to sit on the bench that was nearby. We saw the guys look up and my husband just waved, they laughed and waved back as we took the gym back for the 2nd time. The guys then signaled that they were done and gave a "thumbs up" before driving away.

We may meet people from the other two groups, but we really have no issues with the other teams as long as they stay friendly. There is no reason to get hostile...it's a game. It's meant to be fun. Below I will leave me with a few screenshots from my app!

My 100% Gyrados! This bad boy took FOREVER to find and evolve. The reason I have named it "100%" is so that I know which one it is and I don't accidentally transfer it.

Have you heard of the Eevee "trick"? You rename an Eevee "Rainer" and you get Vaporeon. Rename one "Sparky" to get Jolteon, & one "Pyro" to get Flareon. Be warned that you can only do this twice for each Eeveeloution.

Do you play Pokemon Go? Why or why not?
